Notable Litigation Cases

Attorney Augeri is an accomplished attorney equally comfortable in the courtroom and the board room. He won the seminal wage and hour damages case in Massachusetts, Reuter v. City of Methuen, 489 Mass. 465 (2022) that the court called “…a significant victory and an important clarification of existing law.” Tony has litigated numerous business-related matters in Massachusetts and New Hampshire for over 20 years with the same tenacity. This includes Constitutional matters, owner disputes, consumer protection matters, commercial lease disputes, and regulatory compliance matters for products and public utilities.

Attorney Augeri successfully obtained dismiss of two lawsuits against a Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee in federal and state court that threatened the entire company comprising four locations. He has also achieved numerous favorable settlements on behalf of clients through strategic litigation.

Notable Transactional Matters

Attorney Augeri represents small to medium sized business and entrepreneur clients in the purchase or sale of businesses including business succession issues. Utilizing his nearly six years as General Counsel for a group of 13 companies, he serves as attorney on both sides of transactions in the purchase or sale of various types of businesses including franchisees, commercial landlords, online retail sales, professional services, construction and more. He advises business clients with acquisitions and due diligence, and with his success in the Reuter case is frequently retained to advise companies operating in Massachusetts on wage and hour compliance. He is also retained for corporate governance and regulatory compliance matters.
