Representative Cases: Eric has represented business clients as both plaintiff’s and defendant’s counsel in business-related lawsuits filed in the Massachusetts Superior Court’s Business Litigation Session, Superior Court’s regular session, District Courts as well as in mediation and arbitration. He has assisted lead counsel in several class action lawsuits involving alleged violations of the Massachusetts Wage Act and Independent Contractor Statute, claims for deceptive business practices, and consumer claims. He also provided litigation support respective to a civil action filed by The Jacobs Law on behalf of a business-client against its international competitor involving claims for federal Lanham Act violations, false and/or misleading product advertising, defamation and trademark infringement. Most recently, Eric was co-counsel to an investor-client in a successful arbitration involving claims for fraud and breach of contract arising out of an investment and shareholder dispute.
As the son of small business owners and an avid amateur photographer, Eric understands and enjoys working with creative entrepreneurs to protect their businesses, personal and business assets, and to use the law to further their business objectives.
Other: Eric is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and serves on its Law Practice Management Section Counsel. In his role as a Section Counsel member, he served as chairperson of the 2015 Mock Interview Program organized by the Massachusetts Bar Association. The Mock Interview Program provides Massachusetts law students and recent graduates the opportunity to apply for a mock employment position and then sit for a job interview with a practicing attorney. As the Chair of the program, Eric oversaw its expansion to include all seven (7) Massachusetts law schools.
Education: Eric holds a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in Boston and a B.A. in Communication with a Journalism Concentration from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. While working towards his law degree, Eric was a Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Fellow, where he taught oral advocacy skills and constitutional law to high school students in low income neighborhoods of the Boston area.
